Fishing Report
4/14/26
We had our 1 year anniversary in the shop this past weekend, and have been playing catch up since returning from Christmas Island! More on that trip in bit but for now….Fishing report is…..
Brrrrr! Cold snaps, rain and wind….oh my! Between squalls and falling trees we are catching trout mostly on Squirmy Worms, Pat Stones, Skwala’s , and March Browns. It is still a “change the depth of your indicator” game if you are nymphing, and a “That was a fish rise but it’s too windy to see what they just ate so let’s try a March Brown or Skwala and see what happens” scene if your throwing dries.
Experiment with your depth, layer up this week, and stop by the shop for some flies and up to date intel! And book your guided trip now, our calendar is filling up!

I'm writing this at 5:30 am on a Friday...while snow and wind are making it impossible to see the river, much less fish it. So we had Skwala activity happening...(it was fire)....and now we wait out this winter storm and dream of the dry fly eats we've been having for the past month..(Specifically the olive bullet head Skwalla pattern has been a prominent figure in my dreams of late...)
While we wait...let's take this time to tie up the last of our flies, clean our lines, organize our fly boxes, and make plans with friends to go fish as soon as we can get riverside again! The shop is open and we have everything you need to make the above activities happen for you...so stop on in...Everyone is Welcome!
